How we build apps
Every app starts with an idea from a teacher, whether it's a comment on our social media or an email to directors@teacher.dev. Here's how we take it from there.
1. We learn about the problem
Depending on the complexity and scope of an idea, we'll reach out with more questions or to interview folks. If the idea is already clear enough, we get started right away.
2. We build a prototype
Once we have a clear picture, we build the app using AI coding agents. We describe both the high-level and detailed requirements to create an initial prototype.
3. We test
Once we have a prototype, we test the app internally with manual reviews. For larger or more complex apps, we also run betas with groups of teachers and domain experts to make sure we've hit the mark.
4. We release it
We host the app publicly, for free, and post about it!
